Glotlens helps you read, translate and convert price tags while travelling. We collect as little as possible. This policy explains what leaves your phone and why.
Glotlens 帮助你在旅行时识别、翻译价签并换算价格。我们尽量少收集数据，下面说明哪些数据会离开你的手机以及原因。
Camera 相机画面
The live camera feed is processed on your device to find and read text on price tags. Camera frames are not uploaded, except when you turn on AI recognition (see below).
相机画面在本机处理，用于识别价签文字；除非你开启 AI 识别，否则不会上传。
Translation 翻译
To translate, the app sends our server the product name and some other text from the same price tag, together with the shop's country code and local currency. The server forwards this text to a translation provider and returns the result. Identical translations may be cached on the server for a short time so they can be reused; the cache holds only the text and its translation.
翻译时，App 会把商品名及同一价签上的部分文字、国家代码与当地币种发送到我们的服务器，由服务器转交翻译服务并返回结果。相同译文可能在服务器短期缓存以便复用，缓存只包含文字与译文。
AI recognition (optional) AI 识别（可选）
If you turn on AI recognition, the app uploads the image inside the viewfinder frame. Our server only forwards it to the AI model (Google Gemini) and returns the reading; the image is not stored on our server, and the result is not cached.
开启 AI 识别后，App 会上传取景框内的图片。服务器只把图片转发给 AI 模型（Google Gemini）并返回识别结果，不保存图片，也不缓存结果。
Price sharing (optional) 价格共享（可选）
If you turn on price sharing, the app uploads the price of products with a global barcode (barcode, product name, price, currency, price type, package size and time) together with the shop you are in, so that prices can be compared across shops. To find the shop, the app sends your approximate position to our server; the server looks up nearby shops in OpenStreetMap and then discards the coordinates — they are not stored or logged. Shared prices contain no personal identifier. In-store barcodes (for example weighed products) are never uploaded. Price sharing is off by default and you can turn it off at any time in the app.
开启价格共享后，App 会上传全球通用条码商品的价格（条码、商品名、价格、币种、价格类型、规格与时间）及所在店铺，用于跨店比价。为确定店铺，App 会把大致位置发送到服务器，服务器据此在 OpenStreetMap 中查询附近店铺后即丢弃坐标，不保存、不写日志。共享的价格不含任何个人标识；店内码商品（如称重商品）不会上传。价格共享默认关闭，可随时在 App 中关闭。
Location 位置
The app uses the shop's country to pick the language and currency. Only a two-letter country code is sent to our server — never your location, except to find the shop when price sharing is on (see above). If you allow location access, your phone may use the system's map service to turn your position into a country; the position itself is discarded on the device.
App 只向服务器上传国家代码，不上传位置（开启价格共享时用于确定店铺的情况除外，见上节）。若你允许定位，手机可能通过系统地图服务把位置换算为国家，位置本身在本机丢弃。
Data stored on your device 本机数据
Your scan history and travel ledger are stored only on your phone and are never uploaded. You can delete them at any time in the app (Settings → clear scan history; delete trips or entries in the ledger), or by uninstalling the app.
扫描历史与记账只保存在本机，不会上传；可随时在 App 设置中清空，或卸载 App 删除。
Exchange rates 汇率
Reference exchange rates come from Frankfurter. Our server downloads them daily; your phone fetches the latest rates from our server and does the conversion locally.
参考汇率来自 Frankfurter，由服务器每日同步，手机从服务器获取后在本地换算。
No account 无需账号
Glotlens does not require registration and does not ask for your name, email or phone number.
不要求注册账号，不收集姓名、邮箱或手机号。
Data retention 数据保留
Like any web service, our server keeps technical logs that contain your IP address, request time and the requested address, used for security, rate limiting and troubleshooting. Logs are kept for 14 days and then deleted. Translation text in the cache expires automatically.
服务器保留含 IP 地址、请求时间等信息的技术日志，用于安全、限流与排错，保留 14 天，到期删除；翻译缓存自动过期。
Third-party services 第三方服务
- Google Gemini — product-name translation and optional AI recognition of price-tag images.
- Google Cloud Translation — translation of price-tag text.
- OpenStreetMap (Overpass API) — looking up shops near a position when price sharing is on (queried by our server around the centre of an approximately 100 m area; no user data is sent).
- Frankfurter — daily reference exchange rates (downloaded by our server; no user data is sent).
These providers process the data we forward under their own privacy terms. The app talks only to our server, not directly to them.
上述服务按其自身隐私条款处理我们转发的数据；App 只与我们的服务器通信，不直接连接这些服务。
Your rights 你的权利
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. Because we have no accounts, the data we hold is limited to the server logs above; contact us and we will help. Data on your device can be deleted directly in the app.
根据所在地法律（如欧盟 GDPR），你可以要求访问、更正或删除我们持有的个人数据。由于没有账号，我们持有的数据仅限上述服务器日志，可联系我们处理；本机数据可在 App 设置中清空。
Children's privacy 儿童隐私
Glotlens is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
本应用不面向 13 岁以下儿童，我们不会有意收集其个人信息。
Changes 政策更新
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced on this website.
本政策可能更新，以页首日期为准，重大变更会在本网站公告。
